Week 10 and 11 Blog Assignment

Blog 10 is a "feebie." Everyone earned 15 points on it.

Chapter 8 is a great chapter to read, and it won’t take you very long. It’s called “Reduce and Refine.” It reintroduces the word “kaizen.” Does it remind you of one of our seven themes? Which one? Good design is… ?

Now think about Project #6. Think about one of the concepts you or your team recently generated. Apply the kaizen technique to it. What was it before, and what is it now? Just describe the two states: before kaizen and post kaizen. Begin your post by defining kaizen in your own words.

So, here’s how to organize your post (after reading the chapter!):

1. define kaizen in your own words; relate it to one of the seven themes.
2. describe a project #6 concept before you apply the technique of kaizen; and
3. describe the revised concept after you apply the technique of kaizen.
