Kaizen is the constant upgrading or redesign of something. It is breaking something down to make it more simple, more efficient, and less confusing. Just by my definition it looks like I described continuous redesign exactly. They are both constantly updating and making something better to meet their goal.

In our project we wanted our line waiters' that were outside to be more comfortable. We wanted to install more fans and mist machines to keep them alot cooler. Its a good idea but this practices no healthy activities at all. So we began toying with the idea, or kaizen, to make the kids in line perform some kind of act to intensify the water pressure, or the coolness the fans emit. This could be by turning a wheel or spinning some kind of bar with resistance. This promotes physical activity as well as enjoyment for the kids and a rewad for the parents.
